"Lab - Abbreviated Oracle Next React DB23c Features, Framework, and Setup"

This lab is designed to show how easy it is to build a Next-React app with Oracle 23c as the backend. React is a JavaScript library that offers a huge ecosystem, with a wide range of features and tools, and tremendous community support. Next.js is a JavaScript framework designed to be used with React. It offers file system based routing, server-side rendering, better SEO, and much, much more. Together, Next and React are the most popular front-end development environments for building modern, data-driven applications. This lab allows you to demonstrate to customers how their developers can easily build Next-React applications using Oracle Database 23c as the backend.

This is the short version of the Lab - Oracle Next React DB23c Features, which steps take aprox. 45 minutes.

This lab will give the bare-bones code required to develop a Oracle Next React full-stack web application with pages that respectively use each of the following Oracle 23c converged database features:

  • ONR–Duality: This page will demonstrate that JSON-Relational Duality Views are a revolutionary, must-have technology for React-like developers because it reduces the complexity of storing JSON documents in normalized relational tables.

  • ONR-PGQ: Property Graph Query. PGQ is now part of the ISO standard SQL. This page will demonstrate how useful PGQ is for developers doing graph analytics in their application.

  • ONR-OML: This page will demonstrate the power of doing machine learning in the database using Oracle Machine Learning and having the ML models available in the database for applications to use directly.
